Please read this carefully. It describes the limits of what this app is and what it can do for you.
This is not medical advice
Quit Vaping Slowly is a self-tracking and habit-awareness tool. It is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Nothing in the app should be interpreted as a recommendation from a healthcare professional.
Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you read in this app.
Health figures are general estimates
The health timeline is drawn from published smoking and nicotine cessation research, including guidance from public health bodies. It describes what typically happens for many people as nicotine exposure decreases.
It is a general educational reference, not a prediction about you. Individual outcomes vary substantially depending on your history, health, and many factors the app has no knowledge of.
Money saved and nicotine avoided are arithmetic estimates based entirely on the numbers you entered. They are intended to be motivating, not precise.
When to speak to a professional
Please talk to a qualified healthcare professional if any of the following apply:
- You are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
- You are managing a heart, lung, or mental health condition.
- You are taking medication that may interact with changes in nicotine intake — nicotine affects the metabolism of several common medicines.
- You experience severe withdrawal symptoms, or a significant change in your mood or mental health.
- You want clinical support to quit. Nicotine replacement therapy and prescription options are considerably more effective when combined with behavioural support.
In an emergency
This app cannot help in a crisis. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately. If you are having thoughts of harming yourself, please contact a local crisis line or emergency services right away.
Not an endorsement of vaping
This app exists to help people who already vape to understand and reduce their nicotine use. It does not encourage vaping, and it is not intended for anyone who does not already use nicotine. There is no safe level of nicotine use, and reducing is not the same as stopping. If you do not vape, do not start.
